The Pleasant Hill Times is Pleasant Hill's only locally owned, independent newspaper. We publish weekly and are distributed to our subscribers on Wednesdays and distributed to all residents in Cass County once a year and to Pleasant Hill twice a year. We were founded in the 1800s and the name was changed to The Pleasant Hill Times in 1901. We offer both print and online editions and are the go-to source for news and advertising in the City of Pleasant Hill.
Our mission is to provide thorough coverage of news events through insightful, accurate reporting which promotes civic engagement, holds government accountable, entertains readers, and generally informs the residents of Pleasant Hill and surrounding areas.
Over the years, the Pleasant Hill Times has been consistently recognized as one of the best weekly newspapers in Missouri.
In fact, the Times won first place for general excellence and was judged Missouri’s best small-town newspaper in the Missouri Press Association’s 2001 Better Newspaper Contest.
The Paper is also on stands at the Times office, Casey's, Samra, Temp Stop, and Price Chopper in Pleasant Hill Missouri.
