RAYMORE, Missouri _ Missouri’s newest medical cannabis dispensary opened its doors today in the heart of Cass County.
The Source’s second Missouri retail location at 1905 W. Foxwood Dr. in Raymore welcomed its first customers at 10 a.m. Wednesday. More information, including hours of operation, available products and store directions can be found at www.thesource-mj.com.
The Raymore location is the second of three Source retail outlets in Missouri, with a third dispensary planned to open in early 2022 in Lake Saint Louis. The company currently operates medical cannabis dispensaries in West Plains as well as the northwest Arkansas city of Bentonville.
Nearly 160,000 Missouri patients have been approved as medical marijuana cardholders by the state Department of Health and Senior Services. Medical cannabis sales in Missouri include an additional 4% sales tax, with the proceeds dedicated toward veterans’ health and care services.
The department has licensed and certified 385 facilities across the state to cultivate, manufacture, test, transport and dispense medical marijuana safely to Missouri patients. The medical marijuana program, which was approved by 66% of Missouri voters on the November 2018 ballot, has already generated nearly $200 million in tax revenue to the state of Missouri in its first year of operation.
RSVP: Members of the press interested in touring the dispensary or additional information should contact general manager Meghan DeLillo at 813-389-4114.
