The project consists of improvements to 9 parking lots and 5 roadways which include full depth pavement replacement, mill and overlay, curb and gutter, sidewalks, pavement markings and ADA facilities; and of similar improvements to 3 parking lots as bids alternate at the Cass County Justice Center in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Cass County has released its weekly report documenting COVID-19 impacts and vaccination efforts to combat the pandemic. The data is through the week ending November 6, 2021.
There were 109 confirmed (PCR tests) cases in Cass County in the last week, up from the 98 cases the week prior. In addition, there were 35 probable cases (antigen tests and other cases), down from 51 cases the week prior.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports nine people died in traffic crashes during this year’s Thanksgiving holiday counting period--from 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021, through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2021. There were no boating crashes or drownings.

On November 2nd around 6:44 a.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at Missouri Route 2 and C Highway.
On Monday just after 3:30 p.m. a Louisburg resident, Shawn M. Espey, 21, was driving a 2016 Ford F150 and was in a fatal crash on Missouri Highway 2 west of Groh Road in Cass County. He was moving into oncoming traffic and struck a 2013 Volvi Semi. Espey was pronounced deceased at the scene and the semi-driver was left with moderate injuries.
