Around 4:30 p.m. yesterday, the Pleasant Hill Fire Department B-shift responded to a car fire in a parking lot at a local business. As crews arrived they found a passenger vehicle on fire. The fire was quickly placed under control and no injuries were reported at this incident.

At about 2:00 am this morning at 1402 S. MO-291 Hwy, Harrisonville officers found a man that was stabbed multiple times in his torso at a QuickTrip parking lot. The man was taken to the hospital where he passed away.

On Sunday, September 12th the Pleasant Hill Community joined with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 3118 and Auxiliary to show their appreciation to our Afghan Vets and their families for their sacrifices.

The Pleasant Hill Schools (R-3) called a special meeting on Tuesday night at 6:30 pm. The purpose of the meeting was to listen to public comments and consider the masking requirements for the school district according to the letter from the Superintendent. The Delta variant has many students in quarantine in the first few weeks of school.
